Surprise! It's my Bertha-Day! Well, really I wasn't surprised. I've known it was coming. Seems like they come along a lot faster than they used to. I remember anxiously awaiting the milestone years and thinking they would never get here...16, 18, 21.

Somehow after that the milestones started coming a lot faster and seemed less positive...29, 39, 49.

I whined about that just a bit until Bertha reminded me that everything in life takes the meaning that we choose to give it. And choice is the key. Today, I can choose to feel old and over the hill or I can celebrate all the wonderful years I've lived, all the lessons I've learned (and thankfully don't have to repeat!), and all the good that I have in my life today.

Hmmm...what will I choose? Well...here come Bertha and the cat in party hats with a cake and ice cream...I think I'll celebrate!

What ever is happening in your world today I hope you choose to celebrate the good parts!

Have a great week!

Jane

Who would you get if you crossed Lucy with a popular talk show host?  Why Bertha, of course!  A zany redhead, who is always up to something and drags her sidekick along with her while she's dispensing down-home wisdom and perky advice for finding balance and joy in one's life.  Throw in a conniving nemesis, an antagonistic cat, lime green spandex and high-heels and you've got a book that's sure to tickle your funny bone and leave you wearing your thinking cap as you read and reread each vignette.
