Thanksgiving Every Day of the Year!

Bertha posed a poignant question to me today, "Why do we wait for Thanksgiving to be thankful for all that we have?"
Well, I didn't have a good answer for her. Oh, I had lots of excuses about being too busy and just not thinking about it but I really didn't have a reason.
So I'm asking you..."Do you take time every day or at least once a week to really appreciate and be grateful for all the wonderful things in your life or do you wait until the turkey's on the table and no one can eat until everyone says what they are thankful for?"
I don't know about you...but I'm somewhere in between. So today I'm going to get a jump on it...
I am grateful for my family, for the fact that I still have my parents. I'm grateful for my two beautiful daughters and their husbands and I am grateful for my granddaughter who turned 4 months old today. I'm grateful for the breathtakingly beautiful fall we have had in North Alabama. I am grateful for my coaching clients, my Bertha readers and all who are reading this blog. I am grateful for my newest endeavor, hosting the Loving Life Radio Show with Jane Carroll I am grateful for friends near and far and for the technology to keep in touch...e-mail and free long distance. I am grateful for the wisdom and humor the character of Bertha has brought into my life...now bring on the Turkey...every day is Thanksgiving when you're grateful!
Who would you get if you crossed Lucy with a popular talk show host? Why Bertha, of course!A zany redhead, who is always up to something and drags her sidekick along with her while she's dispensing down-home wisdom and perky advice for finding balance and joy in one's life.Throw in a conniving nemesis, an antagonistic cat, lime green spandex and high-heels and you've got a book that's sure to tickle your funny bone and leave you wearing your thinking cap as you read and reread each vignette. Bertha makes the perfect stocking stuffer!
